The 1920s garage theme and Black Angus burger menu are the same as every other Ford's Garage, which is precisely the point. National brands go where the traffic and rooftops already are, and the Rinehart corridor now qualifies. It runs Sunday through Thursday 11 AM to 10 PM and stays open to 11 PM on weekends.

Hooked Fish Camp, from the F&D Restaurant Concepts group behind F&D Prime and F&D Woodfired Italian Kitchen, is moving into the former Hooters at 550 Towne Center Circle near Seminole Town Center. The concept leans coastal fish-camp with crawfish, oysters, seared tuna, and shrimp and grits on the preview menu. It was expected to open in late 2025 and slipped into 2026. Read those two locations together. Rinehart Road and Towne Center Circle sit roughly three miles from Hollerbach's, and yet a decade ago they were not where restaurateurs put their chips. The Core, and Why "Sanfording" Still Wins on a Hot Night

The brick streets themselves have not moved. First Street and Park Avenue remain the walkable center, and the density of craft beverage there is the reason "Sanfording," bouncing from restaurant to bar to brewery on foot, entered the local vocabulary in the first place. Three anchors are worth knowing by their quirks, not their menus:

• Hollerbach's German Restaurant at 205 E 1st Street shaped the district's reputation before the hashtag existed. The rooftop Biergarten is the summer play, not the dining room.
• Buster's has been pouring since 2013 and is famous for double-fried, hand-cut Belgian-style frites. Ownership changed hands a few years back and the draft list widened from Belgian-only to broader European. If your mental model of Buster's is stuck in 2018, update it.
• Tuffy's Music Box & Lounge started as Sanford's original cidery and is now a music-and-games hangout with a kitchen. Salsa Night on Saturday, June 6 is a good sample of the calendar.
• Henry's Depot sits on the site of one of Florida's earliest rail depots and functions as a food hall with rotating vendors. It is also where Orlando Cars and Coffee lands on Sunday, June 7.

The through-line: these are not restaurants you evaluate against each other. They are stops on a walk. Park once on First Street, do not move the car until you go home.

Summer 2026 Dates Worth Blocking Off

Two things stand out when you see the summer laid out in a grid. The Food Truck Fiesta lands roughly every four weeks, which means the "wait for the next one" excuse never buys you more than a month. And Buster's is testing a European Beer Festival as a first annual, which is worth attending if only because first-year turnout tends to decide whether year two happens.

The Sanford Sip Into Summer Wine Walk on Friday, May 22 at Theater West End opened the season, with tickets starting at $22 for a stroll through downtown pouring stations. The Water After Dark

The St. Johns Rivership Company runs the Barbara Lee out of 433 N Palmetto Ave, and the summer lineup leans heavily into themed dinner cruises. The Blues Brothers Tribute, a Moana-themed character buffet cruise on July 9, the Jim Colbert Show Yachtly Dinner Cruise on June 13, and a run of Rocking on the River shows through July. The Barbara Lee is one of the underused levers in a Sanford summer, mostly because residents assume it is aimed at tourists. Look at the calendar. It is not.

Theater West End on the same block is running its own season in parallel. POTUS runs on the Mainstage May 1 through May 17, and the summer slate leans into concerts and youth productions through the season. Combining a 6 PM cruise with an 8 PM show is one of the more civilized ways to spend a Friday in Seminole County.

A Sanford summer rewards the resident who knows the cadence more than the one who chases openings. The Rinehart corridor is where the new names are landing. The brick streets are where the rhythm lives. The second Sunday of the month is a standing dinner plan. The Barbara Lee is not just for out-of-town family.
